Comprehensive Blood Panel

The Comprehensive Blood Chemistry Panel is a powerful tool we use to analyze over 55 blood markers from every major system in your body. You will receive a functional report explaining what each market means and we will go over it detail together. We will then create a custom protocol to address your specific needs. We use functional ranges to analyze imbalances in the body and blood chemistry. Often, our supplement, diet and lifestyle recommendations are all that are needed to bring the body back into balance and help you feel better. However, when we find serious signs of imbalances, we will always recommend you see a medical doctor for a medical opinion, so that you can weigh all options and to make sure your issues are analyzed from all angles. We are happy to work in conjunction with your medical team so that you receive the absolute best from both worlds. Please read these detailed instructions carefully before proceeding:

Preparing for the Blood Draw:

  1. LMN will email the requisition form for the comprehensive blood panel to you.
  2. Print and take it to any Quest Lab. It tells the lab that these tests have been prepaid and informs them of what markers to test.
  3. Visit Quest Labs website to find the one closest to you and to Schedule an appointment.
  4. Be sure to schedule your appointment for first thing in the morning.
  5. Only drink water after 8 PM the evening before.
  6. You should be fully hydrated. Drink LOTS of water int eh days leading up to the test, and the morning of the blood draw.
  7. If you take medication, take it as you normally do.
  8. All non-necessary supplements can be avoided for 1-2 weeks in advance to get a more accurate reading.
  9. I will receive your test results about 1-2 week after your blood draw. Please schedule an appointment with me to discuss results 1-2 weeks after you send in your test.
  10. DO NOT SHIP OVER HOLIDAYS - Labs close for holidays. Check with me on lab schedules if you are doing a test around a holiday.

Recovering After the Blood Draw:

Many people will feel woozy, light headed and have a headache after a blood draw.

  • PLAN AHEAD: Have juice, fruit, fizzy water, salt, eggs, fish, meat or other snacks available for after the blood draw.
  • To recover, drink plenty of fluids. Juice and whole fruit are both helpful.
  • Drink plenty of water or fizzy water. Make juice and fizzy water spritzers!
  • Eat sea salt. Eat salt straight or add extra to your food, or have salty snacks available.
  • Protein like eggs, fish or meat seem to help too. You can do canned fish, sardines or anchovies.
  • Avoid standing or doing vigorous exercise for the day.
  • Avoid super hot showers or saunas.
  • You should feel back to normal in a few hours.
  • Try to plan ahead so you will be able to rest afterwards. Try to relax as much as possible.
  • Avoid driving if possible.
