There is nothing more vital, that real food nourishment.

I've been thinking about what it means to embody our beliefs, to embody our knowledge. It's one thing when it lives in the head. Another things entirely when it lives in the body. The deepest reality is embodied. It has existence in physical reality, not just in intellectual exercise.

That's how nutrition works. You know about it, talk about it, get convinced about it.

But it's when you try it, live it, do it, that you FEEL IT...

that it truly becomes real.

This quote has been with me for a long time. Sine way back when almost no one had heard of the Internet yet. No one had heard of climate change yet.

Simple seemed closer.

We have to fight harder for it now. And it's even more essential to do so.

(Henry David Thoreau)

One of the simple, good, basic, essential things of life, of course, is food. The most natural of nature's things.

All species, plants and animals, insects and bacteria, have a way to find it. To enjoy it. To rely on it.

As we rely on them.

The food web. The web of life. The web of truth and beauty.
